Solitary ConMindment
What is individuality? Is it even important? Am I allowed to embrace what makes me unique, or must I blend in with the masses? Will you belittle me for not listening to the same music that you do? Not wearing the same clothes as you? Do I really got to buy Jordans to be cool? Do I have to do everything a rapper/entertainer says? So, I'm lame because we're different? Should I be confined to only be "Me" within my mind?
The Trade...(dun dun dun)
Last night Paul Pierce, of the Boston Celtics, made the comment "It's been a pleasure to bring my talents to south beach now on to Memphis ". After the loss the Boston last night, Lebron should be feeling somewhat skeptical about "The Decision", which was an hour-long live television show announcing Lebron's decision on moving to the Miami Heat. Should Lebron have been able to do this?
Mayan's prediction and Our Drastic Reactions
The Mayan calender states that the end of a cycle will occur on December 22, 2012. Many people believe that this day will be the end of Earth as we know it. One night while watching television, a random commercial came on talking about how we need to "Sign up for a trip off of Earth" on a space shuttle sent to launch December 21, 2012. Basically, they are asking others to leave their homes forever for a very risky event that could possibly not even happen. Tell me..what do you think about "2012"? Is it really gonna happen? Would you sign up for the space shuttle?

Simple "Party Crashing" Turned Deadly . .
On Sunday, November 07, 2010 : A former Fayetteville State University football player [ Alexander Green* ) was shot to death by an unidentified male wearing a mask who initially crashed the party Green was having then shot him to death. In addition to the death of Green, another women was shot and had been bleeding from her leg. The party immediantly ended with many young teens hysterically flooding the driveway. How do you think these random acts of violence affect the community ? 9 out of 10 times the gunmans weapon was illegal ; why are guns so easy of access these days ? What do you think should be done about the violence they cause ?
social
Social networks are becoming addictive to many teenagers across the world. Social networks can be helpful to keep in contact with friend but it can be addictive. I believe social network has had an impact on the increase number of sexual predator. Do you believe social networks are affecting society?
Terrorism
Terrorism is, and has been, an issue around the world in the past decade. Recently there has been a debate about the safety of traveling to countries across Seas because there have been many threats about bombing and terrorism. How do you feel about this situation? Would you feel comfortable about traveling to other countries? Why, or why not?
Haiti's Doubt in Our Abilities
This morning, on CNN Student News, they talked about the environmentally unlucky island of Haiti. Recently, after already experiencing an earthquake and an outbreak of Cholera, they were hit by a hurricane known as Tomas. Talk about unlucky, right?
Well..tell me. Why is the news always talking about relief efforts in Haiti if we aren't really helping them. All we're doing is filling their hearts with hope when we say we'll help, and then completely crush that hope when we actually don't do a thing to help them out. Even some of the locals have told newscasters that they didn't appreciate us coming down their and falsely stating that we would help, and not doing much at all.
