In the NFL today they are fining more and more on the physical game look up photos or articles if this video doesn’t work for you and tell if they should keep taking away from this game to make it less physical and exciting for people. Also check out comments on the bottom of the video to take in consideration for the players that have to go through this everyday

i do not believe they should make the game less phyical. if they do i will not be a full contact sports. the players know exactly what can happen to them when they play.
ReplyDeleteIt is part of the game they should know what they are getting into, and people should accept their decision
ReplyDeleteIN football it is not all that hard to get hurt. but if they want to make it safer for the players than they should just make the helmets and padding better
ReplyDeleteAlso in fining them for rough hits they are limiting the game by making players less wiling to make a game saving tackle because they are afraid of being fined
ReplyDeleteI think that football is a rough sport, and if it weren't rough, it would'nt be football. I am not a huge fan of football for that reason, but I think that it would be a little unreasonable for people who play a rough game to not be rough. It could possibly work by making players less rough, but even that might be met with problems.- Harris
ReplyDelete@ aaron if they fine the players not only will they hold back but the game would no longer be a full contact sport
ReplyDelete@ harris i agree that it will no longer be football since the players must hold back when hitting.
ReplyDeleteI agree with both of you but the are making the padding the best they can each and every day but i mean thing happen as a football player sometime someone is running at you and duck there heads when u running at them it is sometimes to hard to change your course and think but just do what you got to do
ReplyDeleteIf they wanted to protect players then they should limit the times they get concussions because the players that get hit with concussions multiple times are the ones most at risk, and most damaged
ReplyDelete@ mike i agree things do happen in football. But football is meant to be a contact sport. the players know the risks of playing.
ReplyDelete@ aaron i agree if they did have a limit then there will be less chances for players to get in the critical zone and cant play anymore
ReplyDelete@ lil man i agree whenever you agree to play any kind of contact sport you already know what you are getting yourrself into so thats a risk that you will take if you are dedicated to the sport.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ghalee about them making the helmets and padding better to protect the players from getting seriously hurt. I also think that they should not fine the players for being rough because being rough and tackliing players is what football is all about. If they start fining them, I think that football players will stop giving their all in games because they are worried about getting fined.
ReplyDeleteIn football the players are allowed to tackle other players and in the video they said they are thinking about suspending players for hitting too hard which I think is stupid because it’s their job to do that. Sure they can get injured but they are getting paid to do it and I am pretty sure they know the risk of playing football.
ReplyDelete@ LiL Man(ghalee) i see where you coming from but at the same time yes we do kno the risk of playing football but the risk wouldnt be so severe if coaches and programs wont have better drill techinque wit there players because most of these hits are based off horrrible tackling
ReplyDeleteLike if you have a player with 3 concussions a season he has to sit out the rest of the regular season
ReplyDeleteI think the fines are ridiculous. I understand that you are trying to teach these players a lesson, but it doesn't have to be so expensive. Also, football is a contact sport and you can't just get mad at someone for hitting your player "too hard" this is the big leagues. Another point is even though you teach a certain way to hit sometimes that is not how it happens. My question is "why put the person who recently had a concussion back in the game?" It makes no sense to me. Let some of the people who sit on the bench sub and maybe they can earn their salary in a place other than practice. There is a reason why these teams drafted them.
ReplyDeleteIsn't football a contact sport? How can you honestly put limitations on what can and cannot happen on the field between players who know exactly what they are getting into before each game? To be honest...I, along with many others, feel that this new rule is specifically targeting the defensive players. Thir job is to tackle, intercept, and block the other team's movements. How can they possibly do that if you're restricting their possible hits? It's just not fair.. If they're gonna suspend defensive players for doing their job, they should suspend offensive players for doin' theirs. .___.
ReplyDelete~Mikal
I don't want anyone to get hurt, but they know when they play football that there is a big chance that they could be injured.-Harris
ReplyDelete@ julian tru if the players know they can not take anymore hits they should tell the coach.
ReplyDelete@mike I think if they worked on their tackling it would improve, but sometimes there is only 1 way to tackle someone
ReplyDelete@ mikal they should not restrict what any player
ReplyDelete@Kayla: I completely agree with that! There is no need for the fines at all. They are just trying to protect their precious "Money Makers"
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Michael some of these players don't listen to the coaches when they are trying to explain how to correctly tackle. Also, if you are going to fine the players for hitting so hard, fine them for getting arrested, drinking before a game, partying too hard, or not listening or running plays right in practice. These aren't litte boys we are talking about these are grown up men who need to take responsibility for their actions.
ReplyDelete@ mikal also on the field if a player hits someone it all depends on how fast they react before they get hit to brace themselves
ReplyDeleteaaron you are right because under the video donte whitner safety from the buffalo bills stated that when quaterback through in that middle zone there is none but speed and cluster and when you deal with that you need to be able to make a reactition fast
ReplyDelete@ kayla i agree if they are going to fine them then fine them for all the bad things they do not the things they get paid to do
ReplyDeleteExactly, the quarter backs have the ball and it is up to the offense to protect them am I correct now if the offense can't protect then the defense is going to dominate the gridlock
ReplyDelete@Ghalee:I was simply making an analogy (I think that's what literary device that is). I'm not saying that they should suspend anyone..I was inferring that the whole suspending defensive players because they are doing their job is unfair. All players should be treated equally right? So why just suspend the defensive players?
ReplyDeleteAlso who is the one determining who hits too hard, and who doesn't
ReplyDeletei think that basically if that sport is what you really want to do then you will take a risk for it. Isn't that we were always taught you have to take risks in life and being hurt is one of them.
ReplyDelete@ mikal what i am trying to say is they should not be suspending or fineing any player for doing their job.
ReplyDelete@ juilen i agree they know what can happen to them when they play thet certain position.
ReplyDeleteHarris, these men put their lives on the line everytime they play. Now,getting fined for protecting themselves is not going to help them. It doesn't matter whether they hit too hard or not. They have children, girlfriends, wives, and family depending on them. Getting hurt is a part of the job description. Getting fined for protecting their team mates to me is ridiculous
ReplyDeleteAlso they get played like 2 million for 16 games a season I think they have the money to take care of themselves
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Ghalee: What I'm trying to say is that suspending one group is unjust. To me, you should either suspend all of them, or none at all. That's that.
ReplyDelete@Julien: If you can't risk it, don't join the sport at all.
@ mikal tat is i am saying there should not be any player who gets suspended
ReplyDelete@ aaron i think they determine a hard hit by if the player who was hit got hurt or not
ReplyDeleteAlthough I disagree with the fine, I can see why they think it is right to fine players who are to rough. If players are constantly getting concussions that could cause really bad damage to them later in life. Some people go back into the game after getting concussions because they love football and know the risks, but it still does not make it right for players to tackle others to roughly. Instead of fining them, I think that they should take the time out and teach the players how to tackle safely.
ReplyDeleteHave you guys worn this topic out yet?
ReplyDeleteWas this rule implemented for the NFL image, or for the players safety because i think they are only doing it to protect the league
ReplyDeletePS... These are for a grade so I would check to make sure my spelling and grammar is correct before I post.
ReplyDelete@Ghalee: FINALLY! NOW YOU FINALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYING!!!!! Took long enough..
ReplyDelete@Ghalee but players get hurt all the time and that doesnt even include rough contact so they can basically fine anyone
ReplyDeleteKayla, I don't see how that reflects my previous post. But, I do think that if they were really concerned about their familiy and their own well being, they wouldn't put their health and safety at risk on a day to day buisness. Although people in the military risk their lives every day, they do so to protect ours. Football players don't go out on the field to protect our lives, they do it to make money. - Harris
ReplyDelete@ aaron i don't get what you mean
ReplyDelete@Aaron: To be frank, the NFL is not concerned with the players in the least. They are concerned about the money that the offensive players rack in from Jerseys and bobble heads and posters and such. After all, money makes the world go round.
ReplyDelete@ mikal i agree all they care about is if the money is still coming in
ReplyDelete@Ghalee im saying every week there are people who get hurt and if the fine is based off of if the player gets hurt then they can fine the defensive player
ReplyDelete@mikel I wouldn't doubt if that is the point of this, but wouldnt an injury increase their fame
ReplyDeleteThe NFL is advertised based on big plays as well as big hits. With the league issuing out fines, I think they are taking away from the game. It's football people, LET MEN BE MEN!!!
ReplyDelete* Basis, not buisness
ReplyDelete- Harris
@ mike so being a man means hitting an other man
ReplyDelete@ mike so being a man means going around hitting people
ReplyDeleteHarris, I didn't say they protect our country I said that these men have families and if they get hurt or killed who is going to take care of them. If someone gets hit too hard because the team can't protect them. You are totally correct the military put their lives on the line for our country, but the salary isn't too bad either. Football players love what they do, just like the military men and women. Think about it these men have options some of them have degrees and are very intelligent, so don't compare them to the military because just like the military these men willingly put their lives and health at risk. You think that these men don't think about their families, they do. The military takes men and women away from their families, just like football.
ReplyDeleteWould anyone like to begin a new topic? It seems that you all seem to agree on some level.
ReplyDelete@ kayla how is the team suppose to protect them if they are running on the field.
ReplyDeleteIn football, yes!!! Football is played in a colliseum, modeled after Rome's great colliseum which hosted fights for gladiators who not only fought men, they fought animals as well. We humans naturally love drama in the form of brutality. Football is the closest we could get to that!!!
ReplyDeleteThe quarterbacks need protection Ghalee. On the field when the quarterbacks throw the ball someone is trying to tackle them, so their teammates have to try to stop the other team from tackling their team mate. Yes, they are running on the field, but they are running to help get their teammate make a successful pass and get a touchdown. Football is more than running on the field it is a series of fumbles, tackles, passes, running, field goals, and a lot of decision making. So, if you want your teammate getting tackled then just run right past them. Offense and defense is there to help the team not hinder it.
ReplyDeleteGoogled it? lol....Na'll. Although this is America, we are are all still humans. Therefore, natuarlly, we have alot of things in common: We love, we hate, we rob, we give, we like BIG HITS!!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Mike person not everyone lives to see drama some of us genuinely love the sport for what it is.
ReplyDeleteso if i ran up on you and hit someone in your family it would be ok since all human want to hit people
ReplyDelete@Kayla, I am pretty sure that we could survive without football; not so much without a military. Is football really necessary? Simply, no. Do they need to get hurt? Again, no. You contradict yourself when you say "don't compare them..." and then "just like the military...". It is simple; people don't need to play football and aren't required to get injured while playing. People in the miltary are putting their lives at risk for a selfless reason:to protect us. Like I stated before, football players risk their health on materialistic things like money and fame.- Harris
ReplyDelete@ kayla the defensive line is there to stop them but players can get through
ReplyDeleteif i were to slap you it would be alright because we are all human.
ReplyDeleteHarris, these players don't risk their lives on materialistic things. They risk their lives on something that they love. I meant by don't compare them because it seemed as if that you called them selfish.
ReplyDelete@ Mike I know violence is a "human instinct", but we as humans are suposed to evolve over time. If we don't evolve and continue to resort to violence, we are being regressive. Do you really want further generations to continue to resort to aggression and violence?
ReplyDelete@Kayla..... THE GAME IS DRAMA!! Thats why we watch it!!! If it's no drama, then it'll be boring. Drama doesnt have to be bad!
ReplyDelete@lil man....In football, you're allowed to hit people.....duh!!!!
@Me and my Soliloquy...... We are still talking about football, right?.....Wow
ReplyDelete@Everyone: ............Wow..............
ReplyDeleteWell, if that's it, I really appreciate the conversation with you guys!!! Thanks for the time!!!
ReplyDeleteBYEeeeee mike you pretty cool blog anytime
ReplyDeleteDid you even read my post? We HAVE been talking about football and violience , so it would be safe to assume that I am still talking about football.------------- Nice ranting w/ you
ReplyDeletemike i am out since i have to go but dont think you won
ReplyDeleteTheir shouldn't be a fine for the way a defender tackles their opponent. The only reason for these fines are so the NFL team owners can't lose their star players like the quarterback, wide recievers, and runningbacks. They believe those are the players that get them to the payoffs. So they don't care about the defensive players.
