The Trade...(dun dun dun)

Last night Paul Pierce, of the Boston Celtics, made the comment "It's been a pleasure to bring my talents to south beach now on to Memphis ". After the loss the Boston last night, Lebron should be feeling somewhat skeptical about "The Decision", which was an hour-long live television show announcing Lebron's decision on moving to the Miami Heat. Should Lebron have been able to do this?

  1. Its not anything bad because he was raising money for the boys and girls club

  2. Is that right? Is that how you say it?

  3. Publicity is always going to be in any sporting event and pretty much in life. Lebron's decision to move to the Heat and broadcasted it live is his decision and it helped bring more (even though it wasn't needed.) interest into this year's NBA season. So, I agree with Lebron's broadcast, only thing I don't agree about is the length of the broadcast.

  5. Yea because it was too long just to talk about going somewhere but he did raise money and bring hype into the season.

  6. I THINK THAT WE SHOULDNT BE TALKING ABOUT THAT LAME PERSON AND TALK ABOUT THE BEST TEAM IN THE NBA
    CELTICS

Oh dear god, let's not get started, they lost at the Finals last season.

  11. @CHRIS WE ARE ON TO THE NEW YEAR DONT LIVE IN THE LAST
@YUNG DOLLAZ I DONT SEE HOW THAT GOING TO HAPPEN SINCE CELTICS HAVE BEAT THEM 2 TIMES THIS YEAR

  12. I honestly have no idea what we are talking about and could not care less. No offense.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I feel it's not a big deal because he's not bothering my personal life.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I agree stone so is the Miami team or whatever it is called are they winning at least.

  15. As far as pleasing society, the Decison broadcasting was wrong. But as as far as Lebron being himself, it was, ironically, the perfect decision. America bashes athletes for making so much money while the people who drive the economy, such as teachers, firefighters, and those helping better society make much less. So when Lebron thinks beyond basketball and decide to help the community by using his star power to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club, they stone him. welcome to America.

  16. Miami has only been together for only 2-3 months and the Celtics have been together for 2 years so who do you really think would be better?

    ReplyDelete
  17. It ain't my fault that they only played 9 regular season games

    ReplyDelete
  18. I agree with Mike because it is a good thing with celecrities use their money to help children or other causes in the world today. Lebron made a decision for himself which seemed kind of selfish, but now he's trying to help the boys and girls club.

  20. Mike are you a professional blogger or something.

  21. @ Mike Mitchell

Welcome to America? Heh. The fans bash him not for the money factor, it's because of the feeling of betrayal! The Cavaliers fans felt betrayed that he left out of nowhere for a different team. So thus, the bashing. I could care less how much money he makes! We can love him for his good deeds to America, but we can hate him for what he does in Basketball.

  22. Mike you do make a good point on how athletes get paid so much money while the people who help the society get paid less. But that's just how society works. They love you up to a certain point but as soon as you do something they don't agree with, they go against you.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I THINK THAT LEBRON DIDNT HAVE TO TELL ANYONE. IF HE WANTED TO GO TO OTHER TEAM THEN HE SHOULD AND THE WAY HE TELLS PEOPLE IS UP TO HIM

    ReplyDelete
  24. Nakiel, that is good point. People look up to these celebrities and once they make a mistake they get bashed for it. I can understand why people were so heated over the issue of him leaving his team. I'm not a fan of basketball, but I know if, for example, Arod left the Yankees I would be incredibly angry.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Mike
I have to say that we do complain about how much athletes make, when teachers are getting fired because of cut backs. They have all that money but what do they spend it on exactly? I personally do not know but Im guessing its on colthes. The once great steel tycoon, Andrew Carnagie, said that if you have wealth you should share it with everyone such as donating. All factors of society could benefit if someone would share there fortune with everyone. I can understand that some people wish to not share since they might have worked hard at getting their money.

  26. I agree with you Kayla. People always want other people to do things their way when in reality they really don't have to care at all. They choose too. Nobody asked them to look up to him and then they get mad when his decisions dont make them happy.

    ReplyDelete
  27. But when you think about it, he could have raised money through another venture. He built up Cleveland's hopes giving them false hope, then just shot them down. If Lebron wanted to donate money for them, he got fat pockets, why doesn't he just give them some. And the last week of free agency? Really? He was dead wrong for that.

    ReplyDelete
  28. But its loyalty if he did tell them, thats the only problem.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I understand you Logan. i mean people may be disappointed and all but they take it way to serious on how a celebrity chooses to live his or her life as if they perosnally know the person.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ok on the topic I believe that he should of stayed where he was at so he wouldnt have to go through all that drama

    ReplyDelete
  34. Logan, you wrong because ALL of them have to because if they don't spend their money then tax collectors can take it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Okay I have a few comments and questions and you are required to respond if I ask you a question :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Very good point Stone. All the athletes and actors/actresses make all this money but rarely do you see them trying to help charities and such. I think greed takes over when you become that weathy and maybe they get a big-head with all the publicity.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Bre, he wanted drama. The more drama there was, the bigger the donation check was to The Boys and Girls Club.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Breona, he can do whatever he wants because he is a grown man and chooses what he wants to do.

The man wanted to win a championship, so he left the Cavaliers, sadly. He didn't care about the drama.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Okay Tyre, they may have to spend their money but not ALL of them try to help out causes around the world. They spend it on clothes and huge mansions. Yes, a lot of them try to help out charities but not ALL.

    ReplyDelete
  42. THe only probelm now, is that the Cavs have a better record then Miami.

    ReplyDelete
  43. hold up yung dollaz dont get smart wit me I no that. O yea Chris you have a point but why would you want more people hating you.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Chris H. you act as if I knew that...stop with thee sarcasm..

    ReplyDelete
  45. @Logan, I think you are just celebrity bashing. Not all celebrites blow there money on stupid decisions, or personal gain.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Greed does take over when people get wealthy and famous. Some celebrities even forget where they came from so they just become selfish.

    ReplyDelete
  47. It kind of is. LeBron needs his supporting class to get a good record.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Chris Doyle, did I not say that some DO spend money on good causes? I said SOME blow money on themselves and don't try to help others.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Chris..... Betrayal? It's basketball! They burned his jersey!! Who really has the time to burn a jersey? That was hate. Is it really possible to hate a basketball player? All over a game?
Allen Iverson, my favorite athlete, decided to stay in Philly and never gota ring. We as fans have our own lives and goals. We dont consider the fact that these atheletes have goals too. Iverson wanted a ring and never got it because he tried to please an organization. When he got older, he realized he stopped chasing his dream, which was to get a ring. Now he cant play lik ehe use to, in fact, he's plau=ying in Turkey at the moment. In other words, we have to remember, they are people with goals too....

  51. CTD, true that because is more than a game.

  52. At the end of the day, Lebron has to look in the mirror and ask himself, "Did I make the right decision?".

"Should I be who 'you' want me to be?"- Lebron James

    ReplyDelete
  53. That just put more money into Lebron's pocket. They went out and bought his jersey just to burn it. In my opinion they are the ignorant ones.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Mike, LeBron should be himself and I'm happy that he did move on.

    ReplyDelete
  55. So, are ya'll saying that pleasing society is the right decision?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Cleveland should be happy with all the hard work that he put in for that team and just move on, cause LeBron did.

    ReplyDelete
  57. @Mike you made some really good points. Regular people in the world set up all these goals for themselves when they forget that celebrities also have goals for themselves. They go out into the world just as any other person does wanting to acheive something in life. Just because someone may be happy with the way that particular person is living their life doesn't mean that they are.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Mike, no because you need to please yourself and not others.

    ReplyDelete
  59. @ Mike Mitchell
Yes, hate is something that all humans have and can establish towards anyone for any reason they wish! Lebron James is not Allen Iverson who doesn't want a ring. Now, Tyree a.k.a Yung Dollaz stated that the Cavaliers has a better record than Miami. So Cleveland feels betrayed because one of their best players left them and he could be over in his HOMETOWN helping the Cavaliers obliterate any team that stands in front of them.

Not everyone want to please a organization, Mike.

    ReplyDelete
  60. That's what I'm saying. I understand this is a huge controversy, but Lebron was obviously just doing what HE wanted to do. I'm sure he knew he would lose lots of fans.

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Nakiel...... YOU RULE!!!!LOL I AGREE

    ReplyDelete
  62. LeBron is only a man, he can not please everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Pleasing society will have a positive and negative effect on your life. Positive because you could gain many friends. But negative because you dont get to be yourself which i know from personal expirience that being yourself is better than comforming to everyone elses beliefs. im not saying that being a follower is a bad thing but thinking for yourself will be better in the long run.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @stone you make a very good point. NO matter if you're famous or not you have to always stay true to yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  65. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I agree Stone noe matter what you choose not everyone is going to agree with you. So its better to go with what you think is right

    ReplyDelete
  67. @Stone... I agree, although I feel like being yourself is the only option. Regardless of how you do things, you going to get both negative and positive affects. So if you're going to be somebody, be yourself, be proud of your flaws and all, we all have them.

    ReplyDelete
  68. @ Stone.. The positive effect you gave may not be so positive. When your wealthy and famous you don't even know who your real friends are. Because as soon as you do something that they " your so called friends" don't like then they are the ones that tur againt you.

  69. The Cleveland cavaliers should stop being mad and be glad that they at least had him on the team. Lebron James made them a lot of money, helped the team out, and even the city. Where was Cleveland before him? Nowhere! I think that Lebron was right to move to another team. People should leave him alone because it is his life

    ReplyDelete
  70. Guess what Ms. A and Mike. Lebron's is one of my favorite players. :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Okay final thought... Lebron can't be blamed for being leaving Cleveland. He is not a martyr he is a man. He is a man that has dreams and goals that don’t include pleasing the public. True indeed he could have went about it a different way but every single person could have or should have done something a different way. If we are talking about Lebron the entertainer who is paid millions of dollars to entertain a crowd then yes he disappointed some fans but not all and he defiantly won’t get employee of the month, instead he would be considered a “Job hopper”. But if we are talking about Lebron the man then I admire him for chasing his dreams despite adversity.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I really agree with Lebron's descion in moving to the Miami Heat.I really think that he is making the descion best for him.

    ReplyDelete
  73. @ Breona I agree with you because, I really think it is pointless. Also, because I think that it is his choice so it don't matter
